ABRA Re-Open Plan

Posted on Posted in News

Hello Auburn Bay!

The management and staff at ABRA have been working hard over the last week to unveil the ABRA Re-Open Strategy Plan to our community. This plan has been approved by both the ABRA Board of Directors and Alberta Health Services.

We will be reopening in phases that align with AHS and the City of Calgary. We are taking a very cautious approach in the hopes that we continue to move forward, versus opening too quickly and having to pull back.

Our goal in taking this initial step is to create a safe environment for everyone, and by doing so, be able to maintain our license to remain open through the summer. In order to do this as a community, we need to remember that we are all in this together.

Remaining diligent with physical distancing requirements and keeping 2 meters from others is critical, along with following and respecting the regulations the ABRA has put in place at this time.

Further details on these re-open phases can be found following the image below.

***Please note, ABRA fees are due June 30th, 2020. Residents who have not paid their fees after this date will not be granted access.

****Lastly, we acknowledge that there are other lake communities that have a differing approaches. Please note that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to opening our facilities. Each community has different amenities, park/lake sizes, number of households and resources that all play a huge factor in how we shape our plans. At the end of the day we all want our communities to enjoy our amenities, we just need to do so in a manner that is safe for all.
