ABRA Watercraft Rental Procedures
Rules & Regulations
- A valid ABRA membership card is required to sign out any ABRA watercrafts.
- Individuals with caregiver cards are not able to sign out watercrafts.
- Residents must be aged 16+ in order to sign out ABRA watercrafts.
- Lifejackets MUST be worn at all times while using ABRA watercrafts.
- The ABRA strongly recommends that everyone wears a lifejacket in and around water.
- Guests are not permitted to be on ABRA watercrafts by themselves. They must be accompanied by the resident that signed them in at all times.
- ABRA watercrafts may not be pulled up to the shoreline (rocks or beach), tied off to the floating docks, or any private/shared docks. They must be returned to the boat dock.
- All watercrafts must immediately return to the boathouse in the event of severe weather (i.e., lightening, high winds, etc.) OR if instructed to do so by an ABRA staff member.
- A fee will be charged for any lost or broken watercrafts/equipment (e.g., SUPs, paddles, etc.).
- Watercraft rental privileges will be suspended until the assigned fee is paid.
- ABRA watercradts must be returned to the boathouse no less than 30 minutes before the park/facility closes. No watercrafts will hbe rented out 1 hour prior to the park/facility closing.
- Please note that boats may only be signed out for a maximum of 90 minutes and Stand Up Paddleboards may only be signed out for a maximum of 45 minutes.
