Auburn Bay Lake

Auburn Bay Lake is 43 acres in size, making it one of Calgary’s largest lakes, and one of the deepest with our deepest point being approximately 30 feet! The lake boasts floating docks, a fishing dock, boat rentals and is stocked twice annually with Rainbow Trout, Tiger Trout, Brown Trown and Brook Trout, which residents and their guests can fish for. The lake is also stocked with sterile Grass Carp in order to help with weed control.

The Auburn Bay Residents Association (ABRA) encourages catch and release practices when fishing, however members are permitted to take up to 2 fish home per day, up to a maximum of 12 per month.

For the status of the lake (i.e., lake temperature, ice thickness, etc.) please visit our home page.

The ABRA and all ABRA staff have a strong commitment to water safety. Lifejackets are available for anyone to use from the boathouse or one of the many lifejacket loaner stations along the beach wall.
