Picnic Shelter Rentals

You will be provided with a 25 person guest list for any non-resident guests when you book a picnic shelter.

You are only permitted to book one picnic shelter per household, per day. Separate individuals from the same household cannot make a booking for the same day.

When renting a facility or room from the ABRA you are not covered under our insurance. You must provide a copy of your homeowners/tenants insurance for guest liability.

Insurance information must be provided at the time of booking. 

No. Alcohol is not permitted in the park under any circumstances.

No. We do not allow bouncy castles or inflatables to be brought into the park by rentals.

Your guests are not permitted to enter the park until you have signed for your booking. You must stay with your guests at all times.

No. The gymnasium is not available for use during your booking as your insurance only covers you and your guests for the park.

Unfortunately, food trucks are not permitted for private events at our facility. This is due to limited space and the inability to guarantee power sources in our parking lot. However, caterers and food delivery services are welcome to drop off food to the renter at the entrance for your convenience.

No. Picnic shelter rentals are available exclusively for Auburn Bay residents.

Guests are not able to take out any ABRA watercraft on their own. They must be with the Auburn Bay resident at all times in the boat.

The Gatehouse shelter is the largest, with 3 tables and 3 BBQ’s. All other shelters are the same size with 2 tables and 2 BBQ’s

You are welcome to bring your own food into the park as well as a portable propane BBQ. Personal BBQ’s must be used on a table and are not allowed on the beach.

Charcoal briquettes are required to use the shelter BBQs, which you are responsible for providing (along with starter fluid). Wood is not permitted in the BBQs at anytime.

*Please note that ABRA staff will clear the hot coals after your booking*

Banquet Room Rentals

Yes, alcohol is permitted in our Banquet room however a liquor license is required (by law) as well as PAL insurance. These must be provided at least 1 week prior to your rental. Without both of these requirements, alcohol is not permitted.

*Please note that alcohol must remain within the banquet room, it is not permitted on the balcony or in the parking lot. 

Non-resident functions that are serving alcohol must provide security deposit payment one (1) month prior to the day of the function. Cash, Debit, Credit, and Cheque payment is accepted. 

Music is permitted, however please note that if you are playing any recorded music, you are required, by law, to pay SOCAN & Re:Sound (music licensing fees). 

*Music licensing fees is not applicable to live music*

You are not covered under ABRA insurance when you rent a facility from us. homeowners/tenants insurance is required for guest liability. 

Yes, for all Banquet room bookings we require a $1000 damage/non-compliance deposit. The damage/non-compliance deposit covers damage to the facility, tables, chairs, etc. as well as any non-compliance with ABRA rules & regulations.

Yes, we have a kitchen however it is not a commercial kitchen and can only be used for warming food, not cooking it.

Yes, caterers are permitted and they will have access to the kitchen.

Unfortunately, food trucks are not permitted for private events at our facility. This is due to limited space and the inability to guarantee power sources in our parking lot. However, caterers and food delivery services are welcome to drop off food to the renter at the entrance for your convenience.

All set up and clean up must be included in the time of your rental so please ensure you take that into account when you are booking the space.

Early access is not permitted.

No, we do not supply any of these. If you are bringing in a caterer, most of the time they will have these items available (be sure to confirm with them). Otherwise you are responsible for bringing your own.

Most decorations are permitted, however anyting that needs to be secured to the wall or roof must be done so using painters tape or sticky tack (nothing that will damage the surface such as tacks and nails). 

Confetti, party-poppers, sparklers or any similar decoration is not permitted and does result in a $50 charge.

Soft play equipment is permitted (ball pit, blocks, etc.) However, active play equipment is prohibited (bounce castles, trampolines, sports/running games, etc.).

Animals are not permitted in the Banquet room for indoor rentals unless they are a registered service animal.

Emotional support animals are not permitted

We have rectangle and round tables: 

  • Rectangle tables are 6′ X 2.5′
  • Round tables are 5′ in diameter.

Yes. Rentals can go as late as 1:00 a.m., however please be advised that an additional after hours fee of $135/hr does apply to accommodate our staff wages and security.

If you stay past the end of your booking as stated on your rental contract you will be charged a late fee of $50/15 minutes. If your rental ends past our closing hours, the after hours fee of $135 applies on top of that. 

ABRA staff can provide you with the cords for our sound system, a microphone, a remote control for the TV, and more! 

No. Your insurance is only applicable to the room that you have rented and does not extend to the park. For liability reasons there is no park access for anyone attending a rental. Failure to abide by this rule can result in the forfeit of your damage/non-compliance deposit. 

Birthday Party Packages

No, alcohol is not permitted in the gymnasium at any time. 

If you are bringing your own speaker you can play music, however you are still required to pay music licensing fees (SOCAN & Re:Sound).

Yes, insurance is still required for the Birthday Party packages. 

Yes, for all Birthday Party package rentals we require a $500 damage/non-compliance deposit. The damage/non-compliance deposit covers damage to the facility, tables, chairs, etc. as well as any non-compliance with ABRA rules & regulations.

No, we do not provide any food. You are welcome to bring your own and there is a refigerator (with freezer) on the mezzanine to store it. Please note that food and drinks are not permitted down on the gymnasium floor with the exception of water.

Yes! We do provide some basic decorations like balloons and a banner, however you are welcome to bring anything else that you like.

Confetti, party-poppers, sparklers or any similar decoration is not permitted and does result in a $50 charge.

Yes! You can definitely bring your own equipment, however please ensure at the end of your event that you are only taking yours home.

We offer 2 packages that include a bouncy castle, however if you really wanted to bring your own you would need to purchase a special event insurance from PAL Canada.

You could book the birthday party package and then have the banquet room Booked for after if you wanted, however you cannot have them both booked at the same time.
